State Urban Livelihoods Mission (SULM, Delhi) is the implementation agency for Dee Daya Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) in Delhi. The scheme shall rest on the foundation for mobilization of urban poor households to form their own institutions as an important investment for an effective and sustainable poverty reduction Program.
To reduce poverty and vulnerability of urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on sustainable basis through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. The mission would aim at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner. In addition, these institutions of the poor would partner with local self-governments, public service providers, banks, private sector and other mainstream institutions to facilitate delivery of social and economic services to the poor.
